Polestar Australia has confirmed pricing for the Model Year 2026 (MY26) Polestar 2, with the Standard range Single motor variant starting at AUD 62,400. The updated electric vehicle features a range of technological and performance enhancements, including a new Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, upgraded battery, and improved charging capabilities.
The MY26 Polestar 2 Standard range Single motor now uses a 70 kWh battery from CATL, an increase from the previous 69 kWh LG Chem unit, providing a maximum range of up to 554 km under the WLTP cycle, compared with 546 km previously. Charging performance has also improved, with a peak DC rate of 180 kW, allowing charging from 10% to 80% in 26 minutes.
Polestar has introduced a new Qualcomm Snapdragon processor chip, enhancing responsiveness across the infotainment system and enabling faster in-car app performance. Optional upgrades include a 14-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system delivering 1,350 Watts and featuring Tweeter-on-Top technology and Continuum midrange speakers for improved clarity and reduced distortion.
Exterior updates include a new metallic colour, Dune, which replaces Jupiter, and a redesigned five-spoke 20-inch forged alloy Performance wheel, the lightest yet for Polestar 2. Interior options include bio-attributed MicroTech upholstery in Charcoal with distinctive quilting and Black Ash deco, available with the optional Plus Pack. Privacy tint has been added to rear side windows.
Polestar continues to offer a variety of packs and options, including the Plus Pack ($4,700), Performance Pack ($8,980, requires Plus Pack), Pro Pack ($1,900), and Climate Pack ($1,500), as well as single options such as Pixel LED adaptive headlights ($1,600) and Bowers & Wilkins audio ($3,500, requires Plus Pack). All vehicles come with a five-year warranty, complimentary roadside assistance, and scheduled servicing for five years.
The Long Range Dual motor with Performance Pack variant is now exclusively available with the Plus Pack, and the previously removed Harman/Kardon 600W 13-speaker system has returned to the Plus Pack. Pro Pack vehicles will be delivered exclusively with the Graphite finish 20-inch alloy wheels.
