PlusAI said it has achieved 86% Safety Case Readiness (SCR) and 98% Autonomous Miles Percentage (AMP) in the first half of 2025, marking progress toward the planned 2027 commercial launch of its SuperDrive™ autonomous trucking system. The company aims to debut operations in the Texas Triangle before expanding across U.S. and European freight corridors.

The SCR metric, up from 75% in the second half of 2024, reflects the maturity of PlusAI’s Safety Case Framework, which is modelled on safety standards from industries such as aviation. “By publicly sharing these performance metrics, we’re demonstrating our commitment to safe deployment,” CEO David Liu said. The company is targeting 100% SCR by launch.

PlusAI also reported 76% Remote Assistance Free Trips (RAFT), indicating the percentage of journeys completed without safety driver or remote operator intervention. A RAFT score above 90% is a goal for 2027. The company has logged more than 5 million miles of autonomous driving data globally to train its AI-powered driving platform.

Chief Architect Tim Daly said the company’s “AV 2.0 architecture” replaces hand-coded components with end-to-end AI models, which he called “transformative” for simplifying systems and accelerating development. Customer fleet trials are planned for autumn 2025 in Texas and Sweden.
