Peugeot is set to launch long-range variants of its electric SUVs, the e-3008 and e-5008, featuring a 97 kWh battery, at the Paris Motor Show from October 14 to 20. Currently, only the smaller battery option is available for order, but the Stellantis brand plans to introduce these new battery configurations at the event.

Both models are built on the Stellantis STLA Medium platform and utilize battery cells from the ACC joint venture, which includes TotalEnergies and Mercedes-Benz. Notably, these cells are sourced from ACCā€™s sole operational factory in France.

The e-3008 is expected to achieve a WLTP range of up to 700 kilometers, while the e-5008 can reach 668 kilometers on a single charge. The long-range battery will support a maximum DC charging power of 160 kW, enabling a charging time from 20 to 80 percent in just 27 minutes.

The new variants will be designated ā€˜230,ā€™ reflecting the 170 kW electric motor output, equating to approximately 230 horsepower. The existing 73 kWh versions will be identified as ā€˜210ā€™ and feature a 157 kW motor with 213 PS.

The new battery option, which is 15 millimeters thicker than the smaller variant, is designed to ensure that the interior and cargo space remain unaffected. The e-3008 measures 4.54 meters in length with a wheelbase of 2.73 meters.

Peugeot has yet to announce pricing for the long-range models, though the e-3008 210 with a 73 kWh battery starts at ā‚¬48,650 in Germany, and the e-5008 210 begins at ā‚¬51,150, with prices for the larger battery expected to increase by several thousand euros.
