Peugeot is expanding its electric vehicle lineup with the introduction of the e-308 and e-308 SW. Building on the Stellantis group EMP2 architecture, this hatchback and electric estate will be joined by 308 plug-in hybrid models, further strengthening Peugeot’s plans to offer all of its vehicles with an electric variant by 2025.

The Peugeot e-308 hatchback is predicted to be a challenger to the Volkswagen ID.3, while the e-308 SW will challenge the MG5 EV.

Both models will be powered by a new electric powertrain carrying a 156 hp motor with a choice of three driving modes, namely Eco, Normal or Sport, and Brake mode with upgraded regenerative braking.

The Peugeot e-308 and e-308 SW are equipped with a new 54k Wh battery with a three-phase 11 kW AC charger provided as standard and the ability to recharge up to 100 kW DC fast-charging. With this DC fast-charging, both models can be recharged 20-80% in less than 25 minutes.

In terms of features, both models are equipped with the Peugeot i-Cockpit, digital head-up display, and a 10-inch center touch screen. Peugeot has also equipped the two e-308s with a configurable 308 virtual i-toggle button, and the latest i-Connect Advanced technology for the infotainment system.

In addition, the e-308 and e-308 SW have also received safety support features such as Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go function, long-range blind spot monitoring and Rear Traffic Alert.

Both models are offered in two trim levels, namely Allure and GT. The price of the e-308 and e-308 SW itself has not been announced by Peugeot, but it is confirmed that these two models will be available from mid-2023.
