Peugeot UK has officially opened orders for its new all-electric fastback SUV, the E-3008. The vehicle, the latest addition to Peugeot’s electric model lineup, boasts the distinction of being the first model to utilize Stellantis’ innovative ‘BEV by Design’ STLA-M electric powertrain. Engineered to deliver best-in-class performance, the E-3008 features a single 157kW (210hp) electric motor and a usable 73kWh, 400V lithium-ion battery, providing a range of up to 326 miles (WLTP).

Key specifications of the E-3008 include the capability to generate 343Nm of torque, rapid charging from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes using a 160kW charger, and availability in two trim levels: Allure and GT. Peugeot also offers a self-charging hybrid powertrain option, starting from £34,650 OTR MRRP, incorporating a 136hp 1.2L PureTech petrol engine paired with a 16kW electric motor and a 48V battery for enhanced efficiency and reduced emissions.

The introduction of the E-3008 marks the evolution from the widely successful Peugeot 3008, a vehicle that has garnered favor from over 1,320,000 customers across 130 countries over the past seven years. As part of Peugeot’s broader electrification strategy, the company aims to offer a complete EV lineup by 2025, with the ambitious target of making 100% of its European sales electric by 2030.

The E-3008 distinguishes itself with an aerodynamic fastback SUV design, measuring 4.54m in length, 1.90m in width, and 1.64m in height. Despite its compact size, the electric SUV provides ample passenger and modular luggage space. The front-end design features Peugeot’s new three-claw lighting signature, and the vehicle’s modern and distinctive appearance is emphasized by diamond-cut alloy wheels, available in 19″ or 20″ sizes.

Inside, the E-3008 boasts a new 21″ high-definition panoramic curved display as part of the Peugeot i-Cockpit®, complemented by ambient LED lighting customizable in eight colors. Both Allure and GT models offer advanced features such as a virtual ‘i-Toggle’ display, dual-zone climate control, wireless smartphone charging, and a suite of driver aids including adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning.
