Peugeot will soon launch all-wheel drive (AWD) versions of its e-3008 and e-5008 electric SUVs, introducing a Dual Motor variant with a combined output of 239 kW, the company announced. These models mark the first AWD vehicles built on the Stellantis STLA Medium platform.
The AWD versions will complement the existing standard and long-range variants of both SUVs. Peugeot has disclosed that the setup includes a 156 kW front motor paired with an 82 kW rear motor, delivering a total system output of 239 kW.

The automaker has yet to release details on battery specifications, range, acceleration, or torque figures. Currently, the e-3008 and e-5008 offer battery options of 73 kWh or 97 kWh, with single-motor variants producing either 156 kW or 170 kW.
In addition to expanding powertrain options, Peugeot will introduce a five-seater version of the e-5008, providing increased cargo capacity of up to 2,310 liters with the rear seats folded. However, Peugeot stated that neither the AWD nor the new five-seater variants are available for order yet, as homologation is still pending.

To enhance charging performance, Peugeot will integrate a battery preheating system linked to the interior climate control. The feature, set to roll out in the coming months, will enable automatic preheating when using the built-in route planner, optimizing charging efficiency in colder temperatures.
Peugeot reported that global orders for the 3008 model have surpassed 120,000 units across all powertrains, with the e-3008 accounting for approximately 26,400 orders, exceeding the segment’s average EV adoption rate. The company also highlighted strong EV sales growth in Europe, where it has recorded the highest increase in electric vehicle sales to private consumers.

Despite this momentum, Peugeot continues to invest in hybrid technology, expanding its mild hybrid and plug-in hybrid offerings. The plug-in hybrid 3008 is expected to deliver an electric range of up to 85 kilometers, further diversifying Peugeot’s electrified portfolio.
