Pando Electric, a provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions for multifamily properties, has launched Pando Canopy, a wireless mesh system designed to maintain consistent connectivity for EV chargers without relying on WiFi or cellular networks. The system is included with all Pando Gen2 installations at no additional cost.
The Canopy mesh network operates locally through a self-healing, peer-to-peer architecture, enabling chargers to share data and maintain functionality even in areas where internet access is limited, such as underground garages or large parking structures. Users can charge vehicles offline, with data automatically syncing to the cloud once connectivity is restored.

The company said the system addresses a common challenge in multifamily EV charging: network reliability. Traditional charging systems often depend on third-party networks or IT infrastructure, which can result in failed charging sessions and increased maintenance. Pando Canopy is designed to simplify management for property owners while improving reliability for residents.
“Property owners have told us time and again that network failures are one of the biggest frustrations with EV charging,” said Aaron Li, CEO of Pando Electric. “With Pando Canopy, we’ve eliminated that problem. Residents get reliable charging every time, and property managers get peace of mind without extra IT costs or headaches.”

Pando Electric said the new system could reduce installation complexity and ongoing support costs, making it easier for property managers to deploy EV charging at scale. By removing connectivity barriers, the company aims to support wider adoption of electric vehicles in multifamily housing environments.
