Nissan Surpasses Milestone of 1 Million Global Electric Vehicle Sales

The company’s journey towards electrification began in December 2010 with the introduction of the Nissan Leaf, which has since become a resounding success, selling over 650,000 units worldwide. With a strong presence in approximately 50 markets, including Japan, the USA, and Europe, the Nissan Leaf has garnered widespread acclaim and numerous prestigious awards from satisfied customers worldwide.

Building on the triumph of the Nissan Leaf, the Japanese automaker has ventured into new territory, expanding its electric vehicle offerings. In 2022, Nissan launched the Nissan Ariya, an all-electric crossover featuring the brand’s latest design language and cutting-edge technologies. The company also has its sights set on developing EVs powered by in-house all-solid-state batteries by fiscal year 2028, promising even more advancements in battery technology.
