The Goodwood Festival of Speed, established in 1993, is recognized as a prestigious motorsport festival that takes place annually in the British town of Goodwood during June and July. This year’s event is scheduled from July 13 to July 16 and will feature a diverse lineup of automobile models.
Participants at this year’s festival include BMW Group, which plans to showcase various models such as the BMW i5, i7, and M3 Touring. Additionally, the MG electric roadster Cyberster, previously unveiled at the Shanghai auto show in April, will also be present.
Nio stands out as one of the few Chinese electric vehicle startups to announce participation in the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2023, as the company continues its efforts to expand in overseas markets. Nio is bringing its comprehensive service system, including a direct sales network and battery swap stations, from China to Europe.
On July 7, Nio opened its fifth battery swap station in Sweden, bringing the total to 19 stations across Europe. The company also operates eight charging stations in Europe and has access to a wide network of 500,000 third-party charging piles through its charging map.
By participating in the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Nio aims to showcase its technological advancements and commitment to providing outstanding driving experiences to customers worldwide, further establishing its position in the electric vehicle industry.
