NIO in September delivered 10,878 electric vehicles to their customers. The number is up 1.88 percent compared to August. When compared to September last year, the number rose 2.35 percent to 10,628 units.
NIO delivered 10,878 vehicles in September 2022. The deliveries consisted of 7,729 premium smart electric SUVs including 1,895 ES7s, and 3,149 premium smart electric sedans including 2,928 ET7s and 221 ET5s.
For the third quarter of 2022, NIO has delivered a total of 31,607 electric vehicles, an increase of 29.3 percent over the same period last year. What is interesting is that the achievement of the third quarter of 2022 is a record high quarterly shipment.
Cumulative deliveries of NIO vehicles reached 249.504 as of September 30, 2022.
On October 7, 2022 NIO will officially enter the European market. To mark it, NIO Berlin 2022 will be held with the theme “A New Horizon”. Previously the company had also opened the first battery swap station in Germany.
In September, NIO delivered for the first time the ET5 electric sedan, which is a competitor to the Tesla Model 3. The NIO ET5 was first introduced in December last year with deliveries made nine months after its initial launch.
NIO in September also showed its seriousness to directly produce its own batteries by investing in lithium mining companies, which are the key material for making batteries. NIO through its subsidiary Blue Northstar Limited plans to invest in Greenwing Resources which is an Australian lithium mining company based in Australia.
