Chinese electric vehicle maker Nio (NYSE: NIO) has started delivering its facelifted ES6 SUV and EC6 coupe SUV in China, following their launch last Friday.
The company announced on its social media channels that deliveries of the updated models began today, though it did not disclose the number of vehicles delivered.
The updated ES6 and EC6, unveiled on May 16, feature numerous upgrades including a transition to Nio’s proprietary Shenji NX9031 autonomous driving chip. Nio claims the chip offers computing power equivalent to four Nvidia Orin X chips, a notable increase over its 2024 models which come with four Nvidia Orin X chips, while the flagship ET9 uses two Shenji chips.
The updated ES6 is offered in a single variant starting at RMB 338,000 ($46,820), maintaining the same starting price and standard range battery pack as its predecessor. Similarly, the updated EC6 is available in one variant priced at RMB 358,000, unchanged from the prior model.
Nio also plans to launch updated versions of its ET5 and ET5 Touring models on May 25, which have been available for pre-order since May 10.
