Nio has commenced deliveries of its executive flagship sedan, the ET9, marking the introduction of its most expensive model to date. The inaugural vehicle was delivered to Fang Hongbo, chairman and CEO of Chinese home appliance giant Midea Group, in Foshan, Guangdong. Nio’s founder and CEO, William Li, personally handed over the vehicle.
“I test drove it a few months ago and it impressed me,” Fang remarked, highlighting the vehicle’s spaciousness and intelligence. “Especially its sense of space, its cabin has a sense of a business jet, and it is also very intelligent.”

The ET9 is the first model equipped with Nio’s in-house developed Shenji NX9031 autonomous driving chip, based on a 5-nanometer process.
This chip is said to be equivalent to four mainstream smart driving chips, with two installed in the ET9. The vehicle also features the SkyRide intelligent chassis system, an integrated hydraulic full-active suspension designed to enhance ride comfort and safety.
