Nio has exceeded the milestone of 1,900 battery swap stations across China. The company also witnessed an unprecedented surge in services on the eve of a major holiday.

On the recent day preceding a significant holiday, Nio inaugurated nine new battery swap stations in China, elevating the total count to an impressive 1,904 facilities. Notably, 560 of these stations are strategically positioned along highways, as indicated by the company’s charging map data.

During the current month, Nio has been on an expansion spree, adding 130 new battery swap stations in China, with a notable century of them being introduced in the last 14 days alone.

The highlight of this achievement came on September 28 when Nio recorded an all-time high of 75,673 battery swaps in a single day. A substantial portion of these services, amounting to 16,779, was rendered by battery swap stations located along highways.

As of September 28, Nio’s extensive network comprised 1,895 battery swap stations in China, with 552 situated along major highways. This translates to an impressive average of 40 services per battery swap station on that remarkable day, while stations along highways provided an average of 30.4 services per station.

The significance of this achievement is magnified by the fact that September 28 marked the final working day before the commencement of China’s National Day holiday, which traditionally signals the onset of the peak travel season. The holiday period spans from September 29 to October 6, with October 7 and October 8 designated as workdays, albeit falling on the weekend.

In addition to the record-breaking number of single-day battery swap services, Nio also witnessed a noteworthy tally of over 1,500 battery upgrades on September 28, a service that customers can avail of on a daily basis.
