In the second quarter of 2023, electric vehicle manufacturer Nikola demonstrated notable progress, with significant boosts in both wholesale and retail sales. Retail sales of Nikola’s Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) trucks surged, doubling to an impressive 66 units compared to the previous quarter. In tandem, wholesale figures also rose, reaching 45 units from the initial 31 units reported in the first quarter. This remarkable uptick in demand reflects a burgeoning interest in Nikola’s sustainable transportation solutions.

Despite the rise in sales, Nikola experienced a decline in production numbers. The company produced 33 BEV trucks in Q2, down from the 63 trucks manufactured in the preceding quarter. However, with retail sales and new orders on an upswing, Nikola remains optimistic about its future prospects.
Nikola CEO, Michael Lohscheller, expressed his satisfaction with the recent achievements and the growing orders for their soon-to-be-produced hydrogen fuel cell electric truck.
