Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) through its parent company, Daimler Truck, announced that it will soon launch the latest generation of its battery electric light duty truck, the Fuso eCanter.
Reporting from the official Daimler Truck website on Tuesday (23/8/2022), the new generation of Fuso eCanter will begin to be presented at the world’s leading trade show, IAA Transportation 2022 which will be held on September 20-25, 2022 in Hannover, Germany.
This new generation of Fuso eCanter is the result of the development of its first model which was successfully marketed globally and has been operating for about five years as a sustainable fleet of customers around the world.
This Japanese-made electric truck will offer customers a wide selection of new and different variants, allowing for more variability for different applications than ever before.
The Fuso eCanter is claimed to be very compatible with various body uses that suit the needs of customers from various logistics industries in the light duty truck segment weighing 4.25 and 8.55 tons.
Thus, this new generation of Fuso eCanter is also claimed to be making a greater contribution to emission-free urban transportation locally in the future.
Like its predecessors, this battery-electric light duty truck makes the ideal companion for a wide range of applications from use for in-town distribution to crane service applications, and even some construction tasks.
Based on the teaser shared, this new generation of Fuso eCanter is characterized by its overall ecological and economical concept. For Daimler Truck, the introduction of the new generation of eCanter is an important milestone on the journey towards a CO2 neutral vehicle fleet.
This is also Daimler’s commitment which aims to sell only CO2 neutral vehicles operating in major automotive markets such as Europe, North America and Japan from 2039 onwards.
