MG Unveils Electric Roadster Cyberster at Auto Shanghai

SAIC brand MG has revealed the production version of its Cyberster electric roadster at Auto Shanghai, and it is set to launch in mainland Europe and the UK in the summer of 2024. The two-seater features scissor doors that open to the top at an angle, giving it a sleek and modern design. According to Carl Gotham, Advanced Design Director of the responsible MG design studio in London, the focus was to create a design that paid homage to the brand’s past and to bring back the sporting bloodline while also being modern and forward-facing like the MG of today.

Although technical details were not released at the time of the premiere, the registration application became public a few days ago, revealing some details. The entry-level version of the Cyberster will have a 231 kW electric motor on the rear axle, while the top model will have a 250 kW rear electric motor supplemented by a 150 kW motor on the front axle.
