Mercedes-Benz is recalling 660 EQS electric vehicles according to a statement posted today in China’s State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR).

This is part of a total recall of 11,908 Mercedes-Benz vehicles in China.

Mercedes-Benz recalled a total of 660 imported EQS electric vehicles produced between September 3, 2021 and November 25, 2021.

The recall was made because the threads of the traction mounting points on the front and rear bumpers may not meet specifications. This causes the traction fixing ring to loosen as it may not reach the thread joint depth required for normal installation.

Mercedes-Benz will inspect the towed vehicle through an authorized dealer free of charge and perform the necessary

The Mercedes-Benz EQS was introduced to China in December last year and is priced in China in the range of RMB 1074600 ($159250) to RMB 1513600.

Mercedes-Benz will also recall a total of 11,212 imported GLE SUVs and GLS SUVs with production dates between 28 October 2018 and 8 November 2021, starting 15 August.

Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 Starts At $147,500, come with up to 751 hp
