Mercedes-Benz has just launched a luxury electric sedan for the Indian market, the EQS 580. The Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 is the first luxury electric sedan to be produced locally in India. Reportedly this car will be sold at a price of 1.55 crore rupees.
Quoted from Indiacarnews, Sunday (2/10/2022), the Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 is equipped with a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 107.8 kWh, which is capable of producing 385 kW of power and 885 Nm of torque. This car is claimed to be able to achieve acceleration from 0-100 Kilometers per hour (Kph) in just 4.1 seconds.
The battery pack is already supported by a 200 kW DC charger, which is claimed to increase the range of 300 km in just 15 minutes.
While the question of mileage, the electric sedan from the German manufacturer is claimed to be able to cover a distance of about 770 km. This makes the Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 with the longest mileage in the country.
When viewed from the outside, the Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 comes with a modern design like a future vehicle. Seen from the grille design that is so futuristic, equipped with the main lights are made narrow. Do not forget the Mercedes-Benz emblem is also placed on the front and rear.
As for the features offered by this electric car, it is also quite complete, the Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 comes with a ‘Hyperscreen’, which consists of 3 screens united by one glass panel. The driver and front passenger each get a 12.3-inch screen, while the center section has a 17.7-inch infotainment screen.
This electric sedan is also equipped with 3D maps, head-up display, front seats with massage function, Burmester 3D sound system, air filtering, and MBUX tablet for rear seat passengers.
Meanwhile, for safety and security, the Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 has nine airbags, lane change and lane keep assist, as well as an emergency stop system.
