Lucid plans to open its first three retail and service locations in France in the first quarter of 2027, marking the start of a broader expansion of its sales and aftersales network in the country.
The company aims to establish more than 16 partner locations across France by the end of 2027. The first three sites are in the final stages of planning, according to Lucid. Orders for its vehicles are expected to open in the first quarter of 2027, while customers can currently register reservations through the company’s French website.
Retail and Service Network
The initial three locations will provide both vehicle sales and service. Customers will be able to view and order Lucid’s Gravity electric SUV and Air electric sedan at each site.
Lucid is working with Emil Frey France to establish the network. The partnership is intended to provide sales, maintenance and customer support as the automaker enters the French market.
Lawrence Hamilton, president of Europe at Lucid, said France was an important market for the company.
France is an important market for Lucid. With Emil Frey France, we are establishing a customer-focused presence that will deliver the sales, service, and ownership experience our vehicles and customers deserve.
Pierre Guignot, general manager of the Emil Frey France Import Division, said the partner network would support customers throughout vehicle ownership.
We are proud to support Lucid’s entry into the French market. Lucid’s innovative products and technology set new standards in electric mobility. By combining Lucid’s exceptional vehicles with Emil Frey France’s partner network expertise, we are committed to delivering a seamless ownership experience and providing customers across France with the highest level of support throughout their journey.
Lucid Gravity and Air Specifications
Lucid plans to offer the Gravity SUV and Air sedan in France. The company’s published specifications list different power outputs, driving ranges and energy-consumption figures depending on the configuration.
| Specification | Lucid Gravity | Lucid Air |
|---|---|---|
| Power range | 418–617 kW (560–828 hp) | 325–920 kW (436–1,234 hp) |
| Maximum WLTP range | Up to 739 km (459 miles) | Up to 960 km (597 miles) |
| WLTP energy consumption | 18.2–19.1 kWh/100 km | 11.8–19.1 kWh/100 km |
| Vehicle type | Electric SUV | Electric sedan |
| Seating | Up to seven adults | Sedan |
The figures are based on the European WLTP testing cycle and vary by configuration. They should not be directly compared with EPA range estimates used in the United States because the testing procedures differ.
Gravity SUV and Air Sedan
The Gravity is a large electric SUV with seating for up to seven adults. Lucid also highlights its fast-charging capability and says the model was named 2026 World Luxury Car of the Year.
The Air sedan is available in configurations with power outputs of up to 920 kW, equivalent to 1,234 hp or 1,251 PS, according to the company’s specifications.
French-market pricing, final vehicle configurations and detailed availability information have not been provided in the announcement.
Expansion Across France
The planned rollout will establish an initial sales and service presence before Lucid expands its partner network to more than 16 locations by the end of 2027.
The locations will support vehicle sales and aftersales service, with Emil Frey France providing the partner network for the expansion. The schedule remains subject to the planned opening of the initial sites and the subsequent rollout.
The move adds France to Lucid’s European expansion plans as the company prepares to introduce its vehicles to more customers in the market.
