Lucid Motors, the California-based electric vehicle manufacturer, has started accepting orders for the Grand Touring variant of its Gravity SUV in Saudi Arabia, with prices beginning at SAR 487,715 ($130,035). The move follows the company’s launch of orders in the U.S. and Canada, with plans to open orders in the UAE in the coming weeks.
The Grand Touring trim is available for immediate purchase in Saudi Arabia, while a lower-priced Touring variant will be “available to order soon,” Lucid said. The company notes that the SAR 487,715 starting price is based on configurations expected in June 2025, cautioning that some features may not be available at launch, potentially impacting pricing and customization options.

Lucid, which is majority-owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) with a stake exceeding 60%, has been expanding its presence in the region. The company launched its first overseas manufacturing plant in Saudi Arabia in September 2023, initially assembling vehicles from pre-manufactured kits. In January 2024, Lucid began transitioning the facility to full-scale production.
The automaker’s Middle East expansion aligns with its global strategy, prioritizing premium models before introducing lower-priced variants. Lucid plans to produce the Gravity Grand Touring throughout 2025, with an entry-level $80,000 variant expected in late 2025. Customers seeking early deliveries in Saudi Arabia can currently order configurations starting at SAR 559,015 ($149,050), inclusive of VAT, transportation, and documentation fees.

Lucid’s Vice President and Managing Director for the Middle East, Faisal Sultan, stated last month that the company is “on track to produce over 10,000 vehicles annually” in Saudi Arabia and will adjust production based on demand. The automaker has also seen increasing revenue from the region, with Middle East sales rising from $40.6 million to $49.7 million in the third quarter of 2024.
