Lucid Motors has announced significant price reductions and lease incentives for its three Air trim levels – Pure, Touring, and Grand Touring. The electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer is taking decisive steps to expand sales and cater to a wider customer base, solidifying its position in the competitive electric car market.
The 480-horsepower Lucid Air Pure AWD, previously priced at $92,900 (excluding a $1,650 destination charge), is now available at a starting price of $82,400 (excluding a reduced $1,500 destination fee). This substantial price cut of $10,650 offers prospective buyers an enticing opportunity to own this impressive model at a more affordable price point.
Looking ahead, Lucid plans to introduce the Air Pure RWD, a more budget-friendly variant expected to start at $77,400 (excluding a $1,500 destination charge). Customers can anticipate the launch of the entry-level Air Pure RWD in September 2023.
The mid-range Lucid Air Touring, equipped with 620-horsepower, now carries a starting price of $95,000 (excluding $1,500 shipping). This price reduction of $12,550 further diversifies Lucid’s offerings, giving customers two attractive options priced below $100,000.
Similarly, the high-performance 1,050-horsepower Lucid Air Grand Touring sees a generous price drop, now available from $125,600 (plus $1,500 shipping) based on special option packages. Previously, the Grand Touring was priced at $138,000 (plus $1,650 shipping), offering customers a substantial $12,550 savings.
Lucid’s strategic move to reduce prices comes alongside a ramped-up sales and marketing campaign, aiming to capitalize on the growing awareness of the brand and drive demand and deliveries. The EV startup emphasized that these updated prices are available while supplies last, giving potential buyers an incentive to make a timely decision.
In addition to the price cuts, Lucid is also offering special lease pricing for all three Air trims until the end of August. The Air Pure AWD is now available for lease at $749 per month for 36 months, while the Air Touring and Air Grand Touring can be leased for $1,149 and $1,399 per month, respectively, for the same duration.
Lucid Motors maintains the unchanged price of $249,000 for its flagship model, the 1,200-horsepower Lucid Air Sapphire tri-motor, providing customers with the option to choose from a diverse range of models catering to different preferences and budgets.
