Lincoln has just announced that it will show off its electric vehicle concept on April 20, which will mark Ford’s electrification of the luxury brand.
In a short video they posted on Twitter, Lincoln showed off the design line of the electric vehicle that will be introduced, which may be an SUV or a smaller crossover. Lincoln itself doesn’t currently make sedans.

In Lincoln’s portfolio there are no fully electric vehicles. The company currently has only three vehicle models with a plug-in hybrid type.
Last year, Lincoln announced their electrification plan by making all of their vehicle portfolio fully electric by 2030. The company also promised that its first full EV will debut in 2022.

The vehicle that Lincoln will introduce on March 20 is still a concept, so it won’t actually be for sale. The company has promised to announce that a mass-produced version of the electric vehicle can be purchased at least by the end of this year.
Ford, as the parent company of Lincoln, currently has two EV platforms that can be used for future electric luxury SUVs.
