Li Auto announced that the L9 SUV will be introduced to the public on April 16, 2022. The Li Auto L9 is priced from 450,000 yuan to 500,000 yuan ($70,815-$78,683), depending on different configurations.

The L9 will use Li Auto AD Max, a flagship intelligent drive system developed in-house by Li Auto. This drive system has an automatic emergency braking function optimized especially for road conditions in China. This system improves the recognition of crossing pedestrians and two-wheeled vehicles, reducing traffic accidents.

The L9 has a high-performance camera as the main sensor for Li Auto AD Max. The camera consists of six 8-megapixel cameras and five 2-megapixel cameras, for 360-degree sensing around the car.

At the front of the car, there are two 8-megapixel cameras for vehicle, pedestrian and other object recognition within a wide-angle range of 120 degrees and as far as 550 meters.

The auto-grade lidar is equipped with 128 lasers, with an overall resolution of 1200×128 and a cloud point count of 1.53 million per second. The smart drive uses a computing platform with two NVIDIA Orin-X processors that have a total computing power of 508 Tops.

L9 adopts new capacitive induction steering wheel. The L9 also has a fatigue and attention alert system.

L9 uses more than 80% high strength steel and hot steel. The front has a double aluminum alloy anti-collision beam, which effectively suppresses impact in the event of an accident.

The battery pack adopts a double protection design consisting of a side shield beam and an aluminum alloy shell.
