Li Auto in May delivered 11,496 Li ONE to their customers. Li ONE is the only model at the moment, the number of deliveries in May rose 176 percent from last month and 165.93 percent over the same month last year

This significant increase was supported by the Covid-19 which began to subside and had an effect on their supply chain.

Cumulatively, the company has delivered 171,467 Li Ones to consumers since the model was first introduced in 2019.

Despite the significant improvement, Li Auto said the challenges posed by regional lockdowns in the supply chain remain.

“Although our parts suppliers in the Yangtze Delta region have gradually resumed production, they have not yet fully recovered and we continue to encounter challenges due to parts supply shortages,” Shen Yanan, co-founder and president of Li Auto, said.

Li Auto’s vehicle assembly plant in Changzhou, Jiangsu province, has not returned to normal production levels due to supply chain constraints. This caused Li One’s delivery to be delayed for some customers, Shen said.

In April Li Auto shipped 4,167 vehicles, down 62 percent from 11,034 in March and 25 percent down from 5,539 in the same month last year. The decline was due to the lockdown in several regions in China causing problems in the supply chain.
