Lexus showcased two Off-Road NX PHEV and ROV concept vehicles at the 2022 Tokyo Auto Salon.
The concept car comes with a unique exterior and black grille, matte black door handles and 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires.
Quoted from the official website, Friday, January 14, 2022, the concept car also features an Iron Oxide exterior that contrasts with “smoked” accents on the mirrors, window frames, and on the badge. The matte black color is also present on the roof rails and cargo rack.
However, Lexus did not elaborate much about this concept vehicle. The NX 450h+, however, has a plug-in hybrid powertrain consisting of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, an 18.1 kWh lithium-ion battery, and several electric motors.
This setup gives the crossover a combined output specification of 302 hp (222 kW / 306 PS) and the ability to travel 37 miles (60 km) on electricity alone.
In addition to introducing the Off-Road NX PHEV concept, Lexus also displays the ROV [Recreational Off-Highway Vehicle] concept which was introduced late last year.
The car uses a 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine that uses compressed hydrogen. The company didn’t reveal any new details, but the concept car featured a four-wheel drive system with a differential.
