In the teaser, Lexus did not forget to provide three leaked photos and a short video of the new electric car.
Unfortunately, Lexus has not provided information about the exact launch time of the Lexus RZ.
But interestingly, Lexus leaked a bit about the RZ that it would use a dedicated Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) platform.
So there is potential for Lexus RZ to use the e-Toyota New Global Architecture (e-TNGA) platform such as the Toyota bZ4X and Subaru Solterra.
How about how it looks? Looking at the three photos provided by Lexus, the Lexus RZ has a body silhouette similar to the Toyota bZ4X.
However, the silhouette of the body also brings the impression of a coupe SUV inspired by the Lexus LF-Z concept car.
The rear design is refined with a Lexus lettering badge and a ducktail spoiler.
Regarding performance, Lexus has also not provided official specification information from the Lexus RZ.
As an illustration, the Toyota bZ4X is equipped with a 71.4 kWh Lithium-ion battery and two drive options, namely Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) and All-Wheel Drive (AWD).
The FWD version gets a 204 hp electric motor, while the AWD version gets two electric motors with a combined 216 hp.
Given that the Lexus RZ is positioned more luxuriously than the bZ4X, there is potential for it to get a more powerful electric motor and a bigger battery.
