Lemonflow, a Munich-based artificial intelligence startup focused on electric vehicle infrastructure, has closed its pre-seed funding round with backing from both financial and industry investors. The company is developing an AI-powered voice assistant to automate customer support for EV charge point operators across Europe.

While the amount raised was not disclosed, the startup named participants including venture firms Speedinvest and CDTM Venture Fund, along with Adrian Zierer, founder of e-mobility infrastructure company Charge Construct. Lemonflow said the capital will be used to expand its engineering team, improve integration with charge point management systems, and scale deployments with mobility operators.

“Lemonflow combines intelligent orchestration with low-latency infrastructure to deliver real-time support experiences,” the company said in a statement, noting the system’s ability to provide voice, chat, and email support in multiple languages.

Founded by ex-McKinsey consultants Konstantin Huneke and Lukas Fieber, Lemonflow aims to address one of the most persistent bottlenecks in scaling EV infrastructure: cost-effective, high-quality customer support. Huneke, who previously co-led McKinsey’s EV Charging Practice, serves as CEO, while Fieber, a PhD engineer from the University of Oxford, is CTO.

“This funding allows us to take the next step on our journey toward becoming the category leader for vertical AI in EV charging and mobility,” said Huneke. “We’re building AI that understands the domain deeply, integrates with physical infrastructure, and solves real-world problems at scale.”

Investor Adrian Zierer emphasized the operational challenge Lemonflow aims to solve. “It’s no longer about just building networks — it’s about running them efficiently and delivering great service. Lemonflow tackles exactly this with a state-of-the-art approach,” he said.

Speedinvest’s Victor Huerbe added, “The mobility sector is at an inflection point — operational excellence and customer experience are more critical than ever. Lemonflow’s vertical AI is purpose-built for this moment.”
