Leapmotor has reaffirmed its target of delivering one million vehicles in 2026, despite completing just over one-third of that goal during the first half of the year.
Speaking during a media briefing following the launch of the refreshed B01 sedan and B10 sport utility vehicle (SUV), Senior Vice President Xu Jun said the company has no plans to revise its annual delivery target, according to local media outlet Sina Tech.
Xu said Leapmotor’s performance during the first half exceeded that of the broader market, many competitors and the company’s own results from a year earlier, although deliveries remained below the pace required to meet the annual objective.
Company Maintains Annual Delivery Goal
Leapmotor delivered 356,487 vehicles during the first six months of 2026, representing a 60.8% increase from a year earlier.
June deliveries reached a record 93,376 units, up 94.5% year over year.
Based on those figures, the company would need to deliver approximately 643,500 vehicles during the second half of the year, or an average of about 107,000 vehicles per month, to achieve its one-million-unit target.
Xu said the company’s updated B-series models are expected to contribute to second-half deliveries, while all four of Leapmotor’s product families—the A, B, C and D series—will play a role in supporting sales throughout the remainder of the year.
He added that the company will continue focusing on product development, marketing and distribution channels to move as close as possible to its annual target.
Senior Vice President Cao Li also said Leapmotor remains confident it can achieve its full-year delivery objective.
B-Series Updates and Overseas Expansion
The refreshed B01 sedan starts at 95,800 yuan (US$14,140), while the updated B10 SUV is priced from 99,800 yuan.
Long-range variants of both models feature an 800-volt electrical architecture designed to support faster charging, while selected versions are equipped with LiDAR-based driver-assistance systems.
Leapmotor also said overseas markets remain an important part of its growth strategy.
At the beginning of the year, the company set a target for international sales to account for between 20% and 35% of total deliveries. According to Xu, overseas sales represented nearly 30% of total deliveries during the first half.
He said changes in overseas policies and rising fuel prices are contributing to increased demand for electrified vehicles in some international markets.
Sales Target Announced Earlier This Year
Leapmotor first outlined its 2026 delivery target earlier this year.
In February, Chief Operating Officer Xu Jun said in an internal memo that the company was targeting 1.05 million vehicle deliveries in 2026 while pursuing improvements in profitability, brand development and operational efficiency.
The strategy included closer coordination between production and sales, inventory management and efforts to improve profit margins alongside volume growth.
