The Lamborghini Urus, which is one of the most powerful SUVs at the moment, is reported to be coming in a fully electric version, although it may take some time.
Head of Lamborghini Design Mitja Borkert shared the possibility of a fully electric Lamborghini Urus SUV but not in the near future.
Previous reports stated that Lamborghini is in the process of developing its first fully electric model which may be introduced in 2027.

Last year, Lamborghini announced a massive 1.7 billion dollar investment in the transition to electrification. It is not yet known what Lamborghini’s first electric model will be. However, it is estimated that the Lamborghini Urus will be fully electric according to the company’s plan.
“Sooner or later Urus will become electric … to be honest, the rules in the world as well as social acceptance – the trend will definitely be like this,” Borkert was quoted as saying in the report.
“I’m not saying now that the Urus successor will be electric, but for this type of car electrification makes more sense,” he added.
Apart from focusing on the electric Urus, Borkert also mentioned that the luxury supercar maker will continue to offer combustion engine vehicles for as long as legally possible, but the design chief doesn’t deny that electrification is inevitable.
“People today are still being trained that the V10 is emotional, but I don’t know if in forty years young people will still be happy about this. I’m also someone who fell in love with combustion engines, but I’m not afraid to switch to electricity,” Borkert said.
