The Koenigsegg Gemera combines internal combustion and electricity to create a hypercar with 1,700 horsepower. The Koenigsegg Gemera is a 4-seat mid-engine and has 1,725 PS (1,270 kW) of combined power and 2,582 lb-ft (3,500 Nm) of torque. Acceleration from 0-62 mph is done in less than 2 seconds, and the top speed is around 250 mph.
The Koenigsegg Gemera comes with a powertrain consisting of 3 electric motors and a revolutionary new internal combustion engine. The internal combustion engine used is a 3-cylinder twin turbo, with a dry-sump and a redline of 8,500 rpm that uses Koenigsegg’s Freevalve technology.
As a hybrid vehicle, the Koenigsegg Gemera has two electric motors located on each of the rear wheels, and a third motor in the crankcase. The 16.6 kWh battery is an 800 volt system that provides a 50 kilometer EV range and is charged via an external plug. The three electric motors used are capable of producing 800 kW of power and pushing the Gemera from 0-300 kph in pure EV mode with the help of the engine.
