Kia’s EV9 has been recognized as a segment leader in the J.D. Power 2025 U.S. Tech Experience Index (TXI) Study, earning top marks in the Electric Vehicle advanced technology category for its One-Pedal Driving feature. The accolade highlights Kia America’s focus on integrating advanced technologies that improve convenience, efficiency, and overall driver satisfaction.

Now in its 10th year, the TXI Study evaluates how effectively automakers incorporate new technologies into their vehicles, examining both innovation and execution. This year’s study analyzed 76,230 survey responses across 36 automotive brands, covering more than 100 technologies. Kia placed second overall among mass-market brands for innovation, supported by what J.D. Power described as strong execution and depth of technology across its lineup.

The EV9’s One-Pedal Driving feature allows drivers to accelerate and decelerate using only the accelerator pedal, reducing the need for constant brake input. According to Kia, the system not only enhances convenience but also contributes to efficiency and a smoother driving experience. By prioritizing usability, the company aims to make advanced features more accessible to a broader range of drivers as the market for electric vehicles continues to expand.

“Kia’s recognition in this year’s J.D. Power TXI Study reinforces our commitment to making advanced technologies accessible, intuitive, and impactful for everyday drivers,” said Mike Wilde, Director of Product Planning and Pricing at Kia America. “The EV9’s One-Pedal Driving feature is a perfect example of how Kia blends innovation with real-world usability, ensuring our customers experience both the joy of driving and the benefits of cutting-edge electric vehicle technology.”

Kia America, headquartered in Irvine, California, has continued to score strongly in automotive quality surveys while building its reputation in sustainability and mobility. The company was named one of the TIME World’s Most Sustainable Companies of 2024 and serves as the Official Automotive Partner of the NBA and WNBA. Kia sells a range of gasoline, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and battery-electric models through nearly 800 U.S. dealerships, with select models such as the EV6, EV9, Sportage, Sorento, and Telluride assembled domestically.
