Kia has released pricing details for the 2025 Niro EV in the United States, following its recent discontinuation in Germany. Priced at $39,600 for the base ‘Wind’ trim and $44,600 for the premium ‘Wave’ trim, the updated Niro EV retains most features from the previous model but includes added technical enhancements. The pricing excludes a $1,375 destination charge, with both trims seeing minor adjustments compared to the 2023 pricing structure.
The Niro EV, equipped with a 64.8 kWh battery, offers an EPA-estimated range of up to 253 miles. Both trims support fast charging to 80% in approximately 43 minutes on a 350 kW charger and include an 11 kW on-board charger, which can fully recharge the battery in about six hours.
Technical upgrades include rear seatbelt pre-tensioners across both trims. The ‘Wind’ model now features a larger 10.25-inch instrument cluster and a rotary dial transmission, while the ‘Wave’ trim adds safety and convenience features such as a HUD, blind-spot collision avoidance, a power front passenger seat, and parking assist.
Kia’s decision to discontinue the Niro EV in Germany is speculated to align with the upcoming EV3’s launch in that market, while the updated Niro EV will continue to serve U.S. customers until the EV3 is introduced stateside in 2026.
