KG Mobility has introduced its first hybrid vehicle, the Torres Hybrid, marking its entry into the hybrid market with a focus on fuel efficiency and affordability.

The Torres Hybrid features KG Mobility’s Dual-Tech Hybrid System, incorporating a parallel dual motor and an e-DHT transmission.

This setup enables multiple driving modes, including an Electric Vehicle (EV) mode, a parallel Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) mode, and an Engine Drive mode. The company states that the vehicle can operate in EV mode for up to 94% of urban driving.

With a combined fuel efficiency of 15.7 km/l on 18-inch wheels, the Torres Hybrid outperforms similar models, offering a 41% improvement over its gasoline counterpart. The model maintains high efficiency even with 20-inch wheels at 15.2 km/l. Prices, including tax incentives, start at 31.4 million won for the T5 variant and 36.35 million won for the T7.

KG Mobility is supporting the launch with financing options, including a residual value guarantee of up to 64% for customers trading in after three years, as well as installment plans with a 4.5% interest rate. The company plans to expand its hybrid lineup as part of its broader electrification strategy.
