Finnish EV charging manufacturer Kempower has been appointed a preferred supplier of charging hardware by Allego, a major European charge point operator, with plans for large-scale deployments beginning in the second half of 2025. The partnership will see Kempower’s fast-charging systems installed across Allego hubs in Denmark, France, the Nordics, and the Benelux region.
Allego currently operates over 34,000 public charging points across Europe and offers various charging capacities ranging up to 300 kW. The collaboration with Kempower is aimed at strengthening its high-power charging infrastructure to meet growing EV demand in key regions.
The two companies have conducted pilot projects in Sweden, Belgium, and the Netherlands since 2013. The first confirmed deployment will be in Denmark in the third quarter of 2025, featuring five 600 kW triple Power Units and 30 Kempower Satellites with 375 A cables. The number of connectors per satellite remains unspecified, which could affect overall charging output for users.
Further rollouts are planned in France, the Nordics, and Benelux, with Kempower stating broader European expansion will continue into 2026.
“Becoming one of Allego’s preferred partners is a great milestone for Kempower,” said Jussi Vanhanen, Chief Market Officer of Kempower. “We share a deep commitment to enabling accessible, high-power EV charging across Europe. With our technology and Allego’s vast network expertise, we’re excited to bring robust and reliable charging to more drivers, starting with key sites in Denmark.”
