Finnish EV charging manufacturer Kempower has launched an upgraded version of its DC ‘Station Charger,’ featuring the new ‘Kempower V2 Power Module’ with silicon carbide technology. The latest upgrade also includes enhanced energy measurement capabilities for improved efficiency and transparency.
Unlike Kempower’s satellite system, the ‘Station Charger’ integrates power modules directly into the charging station’s housing. Available in 500V and 800V versions, the fast charger offers power outputs from 50 kW to 400 kW. It supports up to two dedicated DC charging points (CCS and/or CHAdeMO) and can also supply up to two Satellite columns or Kempower Control Unit wallboxes.

The new V2 Power Module has led to a redesign of the charger’s housing to enhance cooling, air filtration, and environmental resilience. Additionally, Kempower has improved energy measurement functions by integrating both DC and AC energy meters, ensuring precise tracking and reporting of energy usage.
“The new features, including improved cooling, advanced energy measurement, and modular design, ensure that our Station Charger meets the evolving needs of the EV industry,” said Kempower’s Chief Markets Officer, Jussi Vanhanen.
