JLR Group has recently made significant leadership changes, appointing Adrian Mardell as the company’s new permanent CEO. Mardell had been serving in the interim CEO role since the resignation of former CEO Thierry Bolloré at the end of 2022. In addition to this, JLR has confirmed the appointment of Richard Molyneux as the Chief Financial Officer, a position he held on an interim basis since December 2022.

Thierry Bolloré, the former CEO, stepped down from his position in November 2022 citing personal reasons. Following his announcement, Adrian Mardell was appointed and underwent training to serve as the interim CEO. From January 1, 2023, Mardell assumed full responsibility as the leader of the carmaker, which now operates solely under the name JLR, having dissolved the brand ‘Land Rover’. The distinct model names of Land Rover vehicles have been elevated to separate brands, including Range Rover, Defender, Discovery, and Jaguar, which now constitute JLR’s lineup.

He praised their exceptional automotive and leadership experience and looked forward to working with them to drive JLR’s ongoing transformation towards modern luxury.
