A new lease deal for the Hyundai Ioniq 6 in the US has made it the cheapest new car to lease in the country, regardless of powertrain. The deal, introduced by Hyundai, offers the 2024 Ioniq 6 SE for just $239 per month for 24 months with only $239 due at signing, before taxes and fees.
This deal stands out in the market, as leases like this typically require a large sum at signing. For comparison, a recent lease deal for the Ioniq 5 was priced at $213 per month but required $3,480 at signing. With taxes and fees included, the Ioniq 6 lease deal allows customers to drive away in a new car for around $260 to $280 per month, depending on their location and the car’s exact specifications.
The deal for the Ioniq 6 is considered the cheapest among more than 540 leasing incentives researched by Cars Direct. In Southern California, it is significantly cheaper than leasing a 2024 Toyota Corolla LE at $299 per month for 36 months with $2,999 due at signing.
This leasing promotion for the Ioniq 6, available since March 19 and running until April 1, presents an enticing offer for those interested in purchasing an electric vehicle. Despite some reservations about its exterior design, the Ioniq 6 remains a compelling option. The SE Standard Range model is equipped with a 53 kWh battery pack providing 240 miles (386 km) of range. It is powered by a rear-mounted motor delivering 149 hp and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque.
The Ioniq 6’s closest competitor, the Tesla Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive, is available for $329 for 36 months with $5,524 due at signing, making the Ioniq 6 lease deal significantly more affordable.
