Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) unit announced on Tuesday that cumulative firm orders for the Luxeed R7 coupe SUV have surpassed 80,000 units.
Luxeed, a joint brand established by Huawei and Chinese automaker Chery, is one of four brands operating under the HIMA umbrella, alongside Seres Group’s Aito, BAIC Group’s Stelato, and Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group’s (JAC) Maextro.

“The Luxeed R7 has garnered strong consumer interest, with firm orders exceeding 80,000 units,” HIMA said in a statement on Weibo.
In China, a firm order typically refers to a purchase for which a non-refundable deposit has been placed, though some automakers allow a brief refund period. The Luxeed R7, the second model under the Luxeed brand, was launched on Sept. 24, 2024, marking the first coupe SUV under HIMA.
Initially offered as a battery electric vehicle (BEV), the R7 had a starting price of 259,800 yuan ($35,870). On Dec. 19, 2024, Luxeed introduced extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variants, starting at 249,800 yuan.
