Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) reported vehicle deliveries of 46,122 units in May, extending its recovery from a slower start to the year as new model launches contributed to stronger sales momentum.
According to data released by HIMA, May deliveries increased 3.77% year-on-year and rose 40.79% compared with April.
The result marked the second consecutive month of sequential growth after deliveries increased 23.17% month-on-month in April.
January-May Deliveries Rise
From January through May, HIMA delivered approximately 192,000 vehicles, representing a 26.5% increase compared with the same period in 2025.
The alliance attributed the improvement largely to the introduction of new vehicle models and the gradual ramp-up of customer deliveries across several brands.
New Models Support Demand
A key contributor to May’s performance was the launch of the updated Aito M9 sport utility vehicle.
The model, developed through Huawei’s partnership with Seres Group, was introduced on May 27 with a starting price of 479,800 yuan (US$70,770).
According to the company, the vehicle received more than 20,000 confirmed orders within 24 hours of launch.
Another recent addition to the HIMA portfolio is the Luxeed V9 multi-purpose vehicle, jointly developed by Huawei and Chery.
The model, which entered the market on May 15 with a starting price of 389,800 yuan, secured more than 10,500 confirmed orders within 48 hours, according to the company.
The Aito M6, launched in April, also contributed to growth, with deliveries exceeding 20,000 units during its first month on the market.
Meanwhile, deliveries of the Shangjie Z7 series, developed jointly by Huawei and SAIC Motor, surpassed 2,000 units within two days of deliveries commencing on May 30.

HIMA currently consists of five automotive brands created through partnerships between Huawei and Chinese vehicle manufacturers.
These include:

Growing Presence at Auto Shows
The alliance is showcasing 13 vehicle models at the 2026 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area International Auto Show in Shenzhen.
