Shangjie, the automotive brand jointly developed by Huawei and SAIC Motor, announced it has achieved 20,000 cumulative deliveries for its inaugural model, the H5 mid-size SUV. The milestone was reached 78 days after the vehicle’s market launch on September 23, 2025.
The announcement was made today during a live video event hosted by Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) business. Shangjie is the fifth brand to join the HIMA portfolio, which includes vehicles from partners like Seres Group’s Aito and Chery’s Luxeed.

The H5, which carries a starting price of RMB 159,800 ($22,620), is currently the most accessible model under the HIMA banner. The brand previously recorded 10,000 deliveries 43 days after the launch. The SUV is offered in both extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) and battery electric vehicle (BEV) configurations.
SAIC Chairman Wang Xiaoqiu acknowledged the high demand during the event. “Shangjie still has a large backlog of orders awaiting delivery, with supplier partners working to accelerate shipments,” he stated.

Looking ahead, Wang confirmed the brand’s expansion plans, stating that Shangjie intends to launch at least two new models in 2026. Richard Yu, Huawei’s executive director and chairman of the consumer business group, added that one of these upcoming models will be a premium coupe, expected to debut next spring, targeting competition with high-end European brand models.
