Huawei-backed Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) delivered 50,624 vehicles in June, down 3.73% from a year earlier, according to figures released by the alliance on Wednesday.

The result marked HIMA’s first year-on-year delivery decline since May 2025. However, deliveries increased 9.76% from May, extending its month-on-month growth streak to three consecutive months.

First-Half Deliveries Continue to Rise

HIMA delivered a total of 242,229 vehicles during the first half of 2026, representing year-on-year growth of 18.74%.

Cumulative deliveries across all HIMA brands have now exceeded 1.43 million vehicles. The alliance said this represents the fastest pace among China’s emerging automotive brands as it moves toward its second one-million-unit milestone.

New Models Drive Monthly Growth

Several recently launched models contributed to June’s delivery performance.

The Aito M6 surpassed 30,000 deliveries within 54 days of its market launch.

The Shangjie Z7, jointly developed by Huawei and SAIC, exceeded 10,000 monthly deliveries after deliveries began at the end of May following its April debut.

Meanwhile, the new-generation Aito M9 entered volume deliveries on June 16 and exceeded 8,000 deliveries within its first two weeks.

Jointly developed by Huawei and Seres, the Aito M9 was launched on May 27 with a starting price of 479,800 yuan (approximately US$70,600). The model received more than 20,000 firm orders within 24 hours of its launch.

Expanding Brand Portfolio

HIMA serves as the centerpiece of Huawei’s automotive strategy through partnerships with established Chinese automakers.

The alliance includes the Aito brand with Seres, Luxeed with Chery, Shangjie with SAIC, Stelato with BAIC Group, and Maextro with Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group (JAC).

The partnership model combines Huawei’s intelligent vehicle technologies with the manufacturing capabilities of traditional automakers as they compete in China’s rapidly evolving electric vehicle market.

New Launches and Customer Services

In addition to the Aito M9, HIMA introduced the Luxeed V9 multi-purpose vehicle in May.

Developed jointly by Huawei and Chery, the model starts at 389,800 yuan and received more than 10,500 firm orders within 48 hours of its launch.

The alliance also showcased 13 models across a record 5,000 square metres of exhibition space at the recent Shenzhen Auto Show.

To stimulate summer demand, HIMA has launched additional customer services, including road-trip route planning assistance and one-stop vehicle registration services.
