At EICMA 2024 in Milan, Honda introduced two new electric motorcycle concepts, the EV Fun Concept and EV Urban Concept, signaling a focused step toward expanding its electric vehicle offerings in the motorcycle sector.
This debut is part of Honda’s ongoing efforts to advance its electric mobility options and reach carbon neutrality for motorcycles in the 2040s.
The EV Fun Concept, Honda’s first electric sports model, is scheduled for release in 2025. This model is designed with a fixed battery, offering performance attributes similar to mid-sized internal combustion motorcycles, alongside the quieter, vibration-free experience of an electric vehicle.
Equipped with a CCS2-compatible battery for quick charging and a projected range of over 100 km, the EV Fun Concept aims to balance power and efficiency.
The EV Urban Concept reflects Honda’s approach to urban mobility solutions, focusing on connectivity and user-centered design. With an in-house developed battery, the concept seeks to address urban transportation needs through functional and intuitive technology.
Honda’s roadmap includes introducing 30 electric motorcycle models globally by 2030, as the company works to expand its portfolio and explore sustainable mobility options. These efforts align with Honda’s broader objective to establish a presence in the electric motorcycle market and support environmental goals.
