Honda has announced UK pricing and order details for its new Super-N electric city car, with the compact battery-electric model starting at £18,995 ahead of showroom arrivals next month.

The Super-N was first unveiled in April and represents Honda’s entry into the growing affordable electric city car segment, where it will compete with models such as the Dacia Spring and Hyundai Inster.

Designed for Urban Mobility

The Super-N is based on the same lightweight platform used for Honda’s N Series kei cars in Japan but has been modified for the UK market.

According to Honda, the vehicle features a wider track, revised suspension settings, and chassis tuning developed specifically for British roads.

Measuring 3.59 meters in length and weighing 1,097 kilograms, the compact EV is aimed primarily at urban drivers seeking a small and practical electric vehicle.

Compact Battery and Dual Power Modes

Power is supplied by a front-mounted electric axle paired with a 29.6 kWh lithium-ion battery pack.

The electric motor produces 47 kW in standard driving mode, while a dedicated Boost Mode temporarily increases output to 70 kW.

Honda said the higher-power setting enables acceleration from 0 to 62 mph in approximately 10 seconds, compared with 14.5 seconds in standard mode.

The vehicle offers a WLTP combined driving range of 128 miles (206 kilometers). Honda also cites an urban WLTP range of up to 199 miles (320 kilometers), reflecting the model’s intended use in city environments.

Flexible Interior Layout

The Super-N retains Honda’s “Magic Seats” system, allowing rear seats to fold both upward and downward to increase cargo flexibility.

With the rear seats folded upright, the vehicle provides up to 162 liters of vertical storage space. Folding the seats flat expands available cargo capacity to 967 liters.

Honda has also equipped the cabin with redesigned front seats and blue accent details across the dashboard.

Styling Inspired by a Classic Honda

The exterior design draws inspiration from the Honda City Turbo II of the 1980s.

Design features include flared wheel arches, aerodynamic air channels, and a wider stance intended to give the compact vehicle a more distinctive appearance.

Expanding Honda’s EV Portfolio

The Super-N forms part of Honda’s broader electrification strategy as automakers increase their focus on smaller and more affordable electric vehicles.

Michael Doyle, Head of Automobile at Honda UK, said the company aims to make electric mobility accessible to a wider customer base.

“Priced at just £18,995, the Super-N delivers Honda’s ‘Joy of Driving’ philosophy to more customers than ever before.”

“Not only is this one of the most affordable small EVs available, it’s also one of the most fun.”

With order books now open, the Super-N is scheduled to arrive in UK dealerships during July as Honda seeks to strengthen its presence in the European entry-level EV market.
