The new era of the World Rally Championship or WRC 2022 is about to begin. The thing to note is that this world championship has new regulations using hybrid rally cars for the Rally1 class.

For the first time in the history of the world championship rally using a hybrid engine car. With the regulation of the hybrid engine, there must be a lot of difference from the previous racing season.

In terms of car design that looks very clear and related to hybrids, there are air-intakes on both sides of the car near the rear windshield.

This air-intake has the function of flowing air in to cool the hybrid unit which is located in the center of the car.

All Rally1 cars created and developed by Hyundai Motorsport, M-Sport Ford World Rally Team and Toyota Gazoo Racing World Rally Team, will carry ‘HY’ graphics on both doors.

The word ‘HY’ indicates the car uses a hybrid engine. The text ‘HY’ will be white on a red background.

The participants have received electronic safety training that focuses on introducing hybrid engines, especially in terms of the electric power used.

Safety training is also for fans, to stay safe in enjoying rally competition in the new hybrid era.
