Genesis has disclosed pricing for the GV60 Magma, its first high-performance production model, as the South Korean luxury automaker moves into a more performance-focused segment a decade after becoming an independent brand.
The GV60 Magma, which will be sold in a single trim, is priced at 96.57 million won ($72,000) based on an individual consumption tax rate of 3.5%, Genesis said on Jan. 13. The company described the model as its first high-performance vehicle designed to compete with established premium and supercar brands.

Genesis said the electric GV60 Magma delivers the strongest powertrain performance among its electrified models. The vehicle is powered by dual motors driving the front and rear wheels, producing a combined maximum output of 448 kilowatts (609 horsepower) and peak torque of 740 newton-metres. When boost mode is activated, output rises to 478 kilowatts (650 horsepower) and 790 Nm for about 15 seconds. The model accelerates from 0 to 200 km/h in 10.9 seconds and has a top speed of 264 km/h.
Energy is supplied by an 84-kilowatt-hour fourth-generation battery, which provides a certified driving range of 346 kilometres on a single charge under South Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy testing standards. Combined energy efficiency is rated at 3.7 km per kWh, according to the company.

Genesis said the GV60 Magma also features chassis and aerodynamic changes compared with the standard GV60. Overall width has been increased by 50 millimetres, while vehicle height has been lowered by 20 millimetres. Design elements such as canard wing garnishes, fender air breathers and a wing-type rear spoiler were added to improve aerodynamic performance and reinforce the model’s high-performance character.
“GV60 Magma is the first result that has brought the challenges shown at the concept stage into reality,” a Genesis official said. “Beyond performance on the track, it will newly define the meaning of high-performance luxury by combining Genesis’s sophistication and emotional resonance.”
