Genesis, the luxury brand under the Hyundai umbrella, has expanded the availability of its all-electric crossovers, the Genesis GV60 and Electrified G80, to Colorado. The slow rollout of these vehicles is part of Genesis’ plan to have its entire lineup fully electrified and available across the United States by 2030. The brand has also opened new standalone dealerships under the Genesis name to further support this initiative.
“We are thrilled to offer our cutting-edge electric vehicles to an even wider audience of American consumers,” said Claudia Marquez, the Chief Operating Officer of Genesis Motor North America. “Customers have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the GV60 and Electrified G80, and we’re happy to announce their availability in Colorado.”
In addition to Colorado, the GV60 is now available in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Utah, and Washington. Meanwhile, the Electrified G80 is available in those states, plus Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Virginia.
To encourage electric vehicle sales, Genesis is offering three years of 30-minute complimentary charging sessions through the Electrify America network. This service can be easily accessed through the Genesis Connected Services and Electrify America mobile apps.
The GV60 is Genesis’ first electric-only vehicle, starting at $59,290 for the Advanced trim with a 314-mile range and 314 horsepower. The Performance trim, starting at $68,290, boasts 235 miles of range and 429 horsepower. Both trims are all-wheel-drive only.
The G80, on the other hand, offers three drivetrains: a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, a 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 engine, or a fully electric drivetrain. The Electrified G80, starting at $79,825, delivers 365 horsepower to all four wheels with a maximum range of 323 miles and is available in one trim for now.
