Geely Holding Group is expanding its presence in New Zealand with the launch of three additional brands, marking its largest coordinated push in the market to date.
Zeekr, Geely Auto and Farizon Auto will join Volvo, Polestar and Lotus under NordEast Vehicle Distributors, a division of New Zealand’s Giltrap Group. For the first time, six of Geely’s automotive brands will be managed under a single distributor in the country.
The distributor will roll out new Geely Auto, Farizon and Zeekr dealerships from Sept. 15. NordEast said the expansion would be supported by flagship and multi-brand outlets backed by nine investor partners, representing 85% of New Zealand’s electric vehicle market.
“On 21 August 2025, we officially brought Zeekr to New Zealand – a significant step forward in our mission to deliver premium, zero-emission mobility across both Australia and New Zealand,” Zeekr International Vice President said in a LinkedIn post earlier this week.
Zeekr will debut the X, 009 and 7X models for New Zealand buyers, with showrooms opening first in Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington and Christchurch.
The premium EV brand delivered 16,977 vehicles globally in July, a 1.5% increase from June and up 8.5% from a year earlier. Deliveries reached 107,707 units from January through July, exceeding 100,000 for the year to date and achieving 33.7% of its 2025 target of 320,000 units.
The wider Zeekr Group, which also includes Lynk & Co, delivered 44,193 vehicles in July, bringing its total to 258,993 units in the first seven months of 2025, or 36.5% of its annual goal of 710,000 vehicles.
