Geely has officially launched the Galaxy E5, known locally as the Geely International EX5, in the United Kingdom, marking the Chinese automaker’s latest step in expanding its electric vehicle presence across Europe.

The compact electric SUV is available in three trim levels — SE, PRO, and MAX — priced between £31,990 and £36,990. All variants come equipped with a 218-horsepower electric motor and a 60-kilowatt-hour battery pack, offering a WLTP range of 255 to 267 miles (410–430 km). The model supports DC fast charging, enabling a 30% to 80% charge in about 20 minutes. A 15.4-inch central touchscreen and heated front seats are standard, while the top-tier MAX version adds features such as front seat massage and a 16-speaker premium audio system.

To better suit European driving conditions, Geely worked with Lotus Engineering to refine the Galaxy E5’s chassis and powertrain. Lotus engineers conducted testing on public roads and race circuits across Europe, optimizing the vehicle’s dynamics for local road conditions and customer preferences.

Positioned to compete with the Volkswagen ID.4, Kia EV3, and Skoda Enyaq, the Galaxy E5 is part of Geely’s broader strategy to accelerate its footprint in Europe’s EV market. UK customers purchasing the E5 will receive either a complimentary home charging unit worth £499 or a £500 public charging credit.
