Future Flight Global (FFG) has signed a letter of intent (LOI) with Eve Air Mobility for the purchase of 54 electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. The deal, aimed at supporting urban air mobility operations in Brazil and the United States, underscores both companies’ focus on addressing congestion and reducing travel time in major cities.
Under the agreement, Eve Air Mobility will supply the eVTOL aircraft, and FFG will operate them as part of a broader initiative to establish a diverse electric aircraft fleet. Financial terms of the LOI were not disclosed. FFG is targeting the deployment of these aircraft in high-demand metropolitan areas, using them for urban air taxi services.
“Eve’s aircraft – rooted in Embraer’s 55-year legacy of designing, certifying, and supporting commercial and business aircraft – checks every box: strong performance parameters, passenger-first ergonomics, clear certification pathway, and scalable production system,” said Karan Singh, CEO of FFG. “We look forward to ANAC certification and deploying these aircraft in Brazil and additional high-demand markets worldwide in the near future.”
Eve Air Mobility, a subsidiary of Brazilian aerospace company Embraer, has been expanding its partnerships both domestically and abroad. In Brazil, it previously signed an LOI with Voar Aviation for 70 eVTOLs, with plans to operate in major cities such as São Paulo and Brasília. Eve is also working with United Airlines to explore eVTOL operations in the San Francisco Bay Area, following a $15 million investment from the airline and a purchase agreement for 200 air taxis in 2022.
The partnership with FFG adds to Eve’s growing pipeline of potential eVTOL customers as the company prepares for certification and production in the coming years.
