FreeWire Unveils AI-Powered Platform, Mobilyze Pro, for Optimal EV Charging Station Deployment

FreeWire Technologies, a subsidiary of BP, has unveiled its groundbreaking AI platform, Mobilyze Pro, specifically tailored to address the needs of charge point operators (CPOs). This innovative solution leverages artificial intelligence to forecast optimal locations for fast charging stations, predict operational costs, and optimize returns on investment.

Mobilyze Pro harnesses the power of AI by integrating both public and proprietary datasets, which subsequently feed into a suite of tools capable of accurately predicting site utilization, recommending tariff structures, and calculating potential profitability for charge point operators.

The platform’s creation was propelled by FreeWire’s strategic acquisition of Mobilyze.ai in December of last year. Primarily recognized for its battery-backed (Boost) charging solutions, FreeWire has since infused Mobilyze Pro with a plethora of advanced features. Among these enhancements is a sophisticated profitability calculator that forecasts operating expenses and cash flow, based on a comprehensive analysis of site utilization and tariff models.

Drawing its predictive capabilities from a vast repository of data, the AI system dissects charging patterns at thousands of public charging locations, cross-referencing them with demographic insights and EV drivers’ travel habits. This synergy of data enables Mobilyze Pro to accurately predict the frequency of charging sessions at prospective locations, along with the optimal pricing strategies for sustainable profitability.

In addition to its predictive prowess, Mobilyze Pro offers charge point operators a valuable estimate of anticipated operational costs. The platform also seamlessly integrates with the recently announced Charging Location Analysis and Incentive Management (CLAIM) service, providing CPOs with the means to identify and capitalize on federal, state, and utility-based incentives.

Mobilyze Pro is set to debut in the United States and across four Canadian provinces in the first quarter of 2024. Prior to its official launch, FreeWire will provide a comprehensive live demonstration of the platform at the upcoming NACS show in Atlanta, scheduled to take place from October 3rd to 6th. With Mobilyze Pro, FreeWire Technologies aims to fortify the EV charging ecosystem by offering CPOs an intelligent toolset to enhance planning, streamline operations, and drive sustainable growth.
